Wesley and I both grew up on the far North Side of Chicago. Over time, my life and work took me up the North Shore—I lived in Northfield and Winnetka—and I spent many years at DePaul University.

Eventually, I made the decision to join the family business and bring my experience into the work we were already doing together.

Wesley stayed in Chicago and bought his first commercial property in 2003. Since then, he's grown into a developer focused primarily on hospitality, retail, and office buildings.

Along the way, he's completed several notable full restorations of famous mansions and historic buildings. One of those restorations became personal: it's the home we moved into in 2018, just outside of Chicago in Hammond.

Moving across the border was a great experience—but it came with real unknowns. We had to learn the neighborhoods, the process, the timing, and the tradeoffs the same way our clients do.
